Championship rosters are built with trades.

RSJ’s Jackson Barrett createda value-based drafting Excel toolto create the preseason values for this Fantasy Football Trade Value Chart. The tool uses theFantasyPros consensus projectionsto assign valuesbased on a 12-team, full PPR league.

Each week throughout the season, I will alter these values to reflect the player’s value for the rest of the season. I have made changes based on the FantasyPros ECR, results from the season so far, andThe Wolf’s Rest of Season Rankings. But for the most part, the below values should generally reflect consensus rankings. The values provided also allow for comparing player values across positions, not just within one position group.

RISERS

Another strong performance from CJ Stroud and Nico Collins has elevated Collins into the WR2 ranks. Through four games, Stroud has solidified himself as a legitimate NFL quarterback. Collins has been a primary beneficiary of Stroud’s success. Collins has nearly eclipsed 500 yards in just four games and is currently WR7 on the season.

Yards per Route Run [minus busted coverage]

1. Nico Collins (4.70)
2. Tyreek Hill (4.33)
3. AJ Brown (4.06)
3. Mike Evans (4.06)

67. Skyy Moore (0.73)
68. Rondale Moore (0.69)
Last / 69. KJ Osborn (0.69)

I've seen enough. It's time for Justyn Ross and Jordan Addison

The expectation for Collins should not be WR7 but he is certainly a player who should be started in nearly every league on a weekly basis. It will be interesting to see if Stroud and the Houston offense can keep this up in the coming weeks. If they can, Collins will prove to be a massive value on fantasy rosters.

Puka Nacua continues on his meteoric rise with a massive day against the Colts. Nacua posted a stat line of nine receptions for 163 yards and the game-winning touchdown, which happened to be the first of his career. There isn’t much to talk about with Nauca. He continues to be the king of volume and silences doubters each week. The only question with Nacua is how he will be affected by the return of Copper Kupp. Until we actually see how Kupp looks (health-wise) and how he is used, Nacua remains a player who must be in lineups every week.

FALLERS

Both Cincinnati receivers took massive hits to their value following a Week 4 loss in Nashville. The Bengals’ offense simply doesn’t have it together yet. Ja’Marr Chase is not living up to his top-three price tag. Chase is seeing in the range of 10 targets per game but has yet to find the endzone or have an explosive play. The volume is a good sign, but until the Bengals can consistently move the ball downfield, Chase’s ceiling is massively capped. Tee Higgins is also a victim of the offensive struggles. However, Higgins is now dealing with a rib injury as well which could easily keep him sidelined for multiple weeks. Until there is more clarity on this injury, Higgins has a reduced value.

DeAndre Hopkins has not yet found much success in Tennessee. In four games, Hopkins has yet to score 15 fantasy points and has scored fewer than 10 points in two games. There are a few reasons for Hopkins’ struggles. First, he has been dealing with an ankle issue for several weeks now. Ankle injuries are especially frustrating for skill players as this can significantly limit agility and explosion, which directly impacts performance. Hopkins has also found himself in a less than ideal situation. To start, Mike Vrabel is a run-first head coach. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill also is not the ideal man to get the ball to Hopkins. The Titans’ offense combined with a nagging ankle is a recipe for Hopkins to struggle.

TRADE TARGETS

If your team lacks depth or you desperately need a flex in a deep league, consider trading for Marvin Mims. Mims has been the biggest playmaker in Denver so far this season. Mims actually leads the Broncos in receiving yards despite never playing more than 35 percent of snaps in a game.

Broncos Longest Gains of 2023 Season

1 Marvin Mims, 99 yds
2 Marvin Mims, 60
3 Marvin Mims, 53
4 Brandon Johnson, 50
5 Jerry Jeudy, 46
6 Marvin Mims, 45
7 Marvin Mims, 38
8 Marvin Mims, 30
9 Marvin Mims, 30
10 Marvin Mims, 25

Mims has just 7 catches + 5 kick returns this year

Marvin Mims is an explosive, talented player just waiting to see the field consistently. Trade for him before this happens.

Like his teammate Aaron Jones, Packers WR Christian Watson was used on a limited basis in Week 4. Watson played just under half of the offensive snaps in the Packers’ Week 4 loss to Detroit. Watson ran 26 routes, garnering 4 targets and even finding the endzone in his 2023 debut. With a full workload in Week 5, I expect Watson to slide in as Jordan Love’s top target. Last season we all saw the explosive games that Watson can have. If you are hurting at WR, grab Watson before he has a blowup performance.
