IMCA Super Nationals entries top 1,000 for third straight year (2024)

BOONE, Iowa (Aug. 25, 2022) – Drivers in five IMCA divisions will get some important racing laps in, while drivers in a sixth will crown a champion during the eighth annual Wild Rose Casino Prelude at Boone Speedway on Saturday, Sept. 3 and Sunday, Sept. 4. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds race for $1,500 to win, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $1,000 to win and Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts for $250 to win on Saturday while Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods run for $750 to win and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $400 to win on Sunday. BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 2) – The 2021 IMCA Speedway Motor Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s is an event for the record book. Again. For the first time in its 39-year history, Super Nationals has topped 900 pre-entries as drivers from 27 states and Canada will be part of the biggest dirt track racing event on the planet Sept. 6-11 at Boone Speedway. Repeat wins went to Jake McBirnie in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, Matt Avila in the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods, and Travis Stensland in the Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lites. First-time winners were Jeff Mueller in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Andrew Burg in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. Things got off to a great start with the flag-to-flag running of the 15 lap feature for Mod Lites. Polesitter Jamie Bailey led the opening lap but Cliff Barber took over when lap two went into the books. By lap eight, it was eighth place starter Stensland who was captain of the ship.
